GM Rumored to Be Pushing September Volt Debut
In an effort to repress the poor advertising sales depressed and speculation about its financial longevity, General Motors climbed schedule for a production model-volt electrical much discussed Chevrolet to September.
According to sources cited in a report on new motor vehicles, GM is counting on volt to push the company into the leading position for fuel efficiency on the eve of the car ’s 100th birthday.
Spokesmen at GM refused to comment on a timetable for climbed volt ’s early saying only that designers and engineers are getting very closely.
A version of volt concept was shown in January 2007 followed by a demonstration model near-production to a target group in Los Angeles. At this point the schedule for a ready-salesroom was late 2010.
Last week shares of GM have hit 54-year low, a different factor driving the need to strengthen the confidence of investors and consumers. It is expected that GM uses the circuit next exhibitions automatic, starting in Paris in October to unveil a number of fuel-efficient vehicles and farther away from the truck and SUV market.
Vehicles accounted be shown in a form ready to produce include beat Chevy, which will replace the sedan with Aveo hatchback, and a vehicle to serve as alternatives to small sedan Chevy Cobalt.
